Reopening of the Country

After enduring months of COVID-19 lock down, I am sure we are all happy as we begin the reopening of our economy around the country. Delaware is currently in phase 1 of its reopening schedule and this week, Governor Carney announced that they will move to Phase 2 of the reopening plan beginning Monday, June 15th. Some of the highlights of Phase 2 as it applies to businesses are:

  • Common areas where personnel are likely to congregate should remain closed.

  • Employees and customers should self-quarantine if they have a reason to suspect they are ill.

  • Businesses should encourage the continuation of teleworking.

  • All surfaces touched by customers, must be disinfected at least every two hours.

  • Hand sanitizer should be available for customers, employees and visitors.

As the country slowly reopens and attempts to get back to normal, I would like to share our thoughts on this process and what our plans are at Affinity Wealth Management.

As you know our offices remained open during this COVID crisis. However, most of our team members have been working remotely from home. We also began using video conferencing in lieu of face to face client meetings and team conferences. While this is not an optimal way to operate, I must admit, it has worked well; with both team members and clients adjusting to the use of the remote technology.

Our number one concern as we begin the process of moving back to normality is the safety of our clients, their loved ones, and that of our team members and their families. With this in mind, we will continue having most of our team working from the safety of their homes. We will also continue the use of phone and video conferences for client meetings. Our office remains open and with social distancing guidelines in place, to include face coverings, we can allow access to our office for picking up, or dropping off documents, deposits, etc…

Over the next few weeks we will continue to assess the situation, in hopes of being able to get back to our normal operation.  We look forward to the time we can welcome you back and see you face to face. Until then, if you need to speak with your advisor or would like to schedule a video meeting, please give us a call.  I wish for you and your family to stay safe and healthy during this unprecedented time.
